Dorsia is an electro pop duo new to the Austin music scene and let me tell you, they pack a punch. With their precise pop sound and ability to combine lush, silky lyrics with upbeat tempos reminiscent of the best glam 80’s pop you can find, Dorsia sucks you into a wormhole of sound that you don’t want to find your way out of.
We can’t wait to see them perform on November 11 at FullNote Presents: An OutYouth Benefit Vol. 2.
Listen to them below.

Scenery is a band bringing a refreshing sound to Austin’s indie rock music scene. They encapsulate what indie rock should be...a perfect mixture of simple yet complex. Scenery combines sleek lyrics, intricate melodies and head bobbing beats that will have you speeding down the highway, sunroof open, shades on, thinking about the one that got away. Each song leaving you asking for more.
FullNote Records is excited to welcome Scenery to FullNote Presents: An OutYouth Benefit Vol. 2 on November 11.

You may have seen our next artist around town kicking ass on the sound board or tracking in the studio, but Lindsey Kappa is a woman we call a triple threat. Branching out from behind the scenes, Lindsey is a synthpop sensation. Featured on “The Fresh Ten Spotify Dance Playlist”, she is sure to dominate Austin’s club dance scene and take it to another level.
Catch Lindsey Kappa’s debut performance this Sunday at Cheer Up Charlie’s for FullNote Presents: An OutYouth Benefit Vol. 2
Hex Boyfriend is a female-fronted rock band from Austin, Texas. Why mention female-fronted right upfront? Because it's the heart of their music. (Also, I love seeing strong women in music, but that’s another story!) Hex Boyfriend grabbed my attention from the forefront with their hauntingly beautiful harmonies and how well Audrey's voice blends with Ali's lead vocals. Their music showcases a level of angst and longing with the moving guitar lines and push and pull of their melodies. I feel a certain nostalgia when listening to Hex Boyfriend that reminds me of being a teenager and blasting music in my room. How can you not love that?
Hex Boyfriend will be closing out our OutYouth Benefit show on November 11th at Cheer Up Charlies. Join us and get ready for some really beautiful music!

Space Heat may be new to the game, having just played their first show February of this year, but you wouldn't be able to tell by listening to them. The band is a synth driven dreamy indie rock band with intricate guitar riffs and pulsing drums that make you want to get up and dance. They skillfully weave synth, guitar, and vocal melodies to create a strong counterpoint. But don’t let this description fool you, the band can rock. Their song “Bleached” is a perfect example of this. What starts off as a fun catchy dance track builds throughout and develops into an instrumental jam session showcasing powerful guitar sounds and that heavy synth that we love.
Space Heat will be kicking things off November 11th at our FullNote Presents: An OutYouth Benefit Vol 2 on the outside stage of Cheer Up Charlie’s at 5:15 PM. Join us and get ready to dance! In the meantime, listen to Space Heat's EP below.

Trying to stay away from the ACL madness this weekend? (Or looking for an ACL after party music spot because you just can’t get enough music?) We have some show recommendations for you!
Head over to Swan Dive for The Cuckoos / The Teddys / Animals for Hands / Semihelix. If you’ve heard The Cuckoos before, you already know this show will rock hard. If you haven’t, just trust us. It all starts at 9:30!
Our favorites Raw Paw are at it again for their annual ACL weekend Ditch the Fest featuring Calliope Musicals, Alesia Lani, SMiiLE, TC Superstar, and more of your local faves at Cheer Up Charlies. You get a stellar lineup and if you’re early, free pizza from Via313. WHAT?! Music starts at 5:30 PM and goes through the night.
Whether you’re going to the festival or not, remember to hydrate and watch out for all the new people in town because let’s face it, our Music Capital of the World will turn into the Traffic Capital of the World. Maybe consider a ride share. (We have so many options!) And as always, stay classy Austin.
Tortuga Shades has been melting hearts in the Austin scene since their founding Summer of 2016. Nadia's sultry vocals and the band's high energy performance make for a solid and memorable set every time. The band has just released a new single, “Future Thoughts” and we’re super impressed. The song drives through with Wylie’s shuffling beats and Nora’s intricate bass lines. Nadia’s vocals soar above, a cherry on top of an already perfect composition. Halfway through you get an unexpected surprise as the song shifts into an instrumental jam section embodying the energy they possess live.
We’re so excited to have them perform at our OutYouth Benefit & Bleached Roses EP Release this Saturday, September 15th at Barracuda. Listen to "Future Thoughts" below!
Why Bonnie describes themselves as “Bedroom Pop/Rock” and that couldn’t be more accurate. Exuding eclectic sounds of jangly guitar riffs and smooth sultry lyrics through each song, you can easily get taken back to those teen angst years of boarding yourself up in your bedroom and rocking out. Holding a certain nostalgia through each song, Why Bonnie grabs you by the heart and ears over and over again. FullNote Records is excited to have them grace the stage for our FullNote Presents: OutYouth Benefit & Bleached Roses EP Release.
If you weren’t at Cheer Up Charlie’s last Friday night let me tell you, you missed out. Emme brought the house down at their Video Release party for their new single, “Collapse”. To start the set out, the chattering crowd was soon captivated as Walter Nichols grabbed our attention with systematic beat after beat which perfectly coincided with the soft punchy vocals of Sowmya Somanath. Sowmya, held everyone close with each swoop of movement dancing out each emotion the crowd was sure to be feeling. Creating a unique experience with their electro-pop sounds, this duo has a bright future ahead of them. Be sure to keep a look out for these two and check out their new video for “Collapse”
