Ladyfang Releases New Single, “Like New”

Ladyfang has been around since 2013 with varying names and members, moving cross country and back, always keeping music at the center of it all. Well, all that hard work and tenacity is paying off. Ladyfang has a solid core, each member uniquely talented and equally important. What makes Ladyfang? It’s Rod wailing his arms in the back, the heartbeat driving the band with his exquisite, purposeful beats, Chocolate creating grooving bass lines, Pan Dulce shredding with ease, and Cara’s melancholic vocals soaring through the air waves hitting ears just right. This four piece forming a single unit, it’s members flowing together as one. 

Ladyfang dominates the scene with their live show energy and stage presence. Jumping at the chance to catch them during the hustle and bustle of SXSW 2019 at ABGB we were blown away. During the last song Cara Juan, frontwoman and vocal powerhouse, started probably the largest (and safe to say only) mosh pit we’ve ever seen at a pizza joint while the rest of the members remained onstage shredding on their instruments. The magical night ended with a chipped tooth and a whole new group of adoring fans, including us. That’s Ladyfang. They’re eclectic, loud, and all around bad asses. ​

Recorded and produced by Jake Miles (Smiiile), this single is the embodiment of Ladyfang’s live show magic, an indie rock hit with 80’s dance energy. The first of a collection of songs coming to you this Spring, we’re excited about the new direction Ladyfang is going and can’t wait for the rest!
